Health Unit

Major functions of Health Unit are as follows:

  • Issue and renewal of new and duplicate medical booklets to serving and retired employees.
  • Enrolment of retiring empployees under Post-Retirement Medical Scheme of the Institute.
  • Enrolment, addition and deletion of employees from Medical Insurance Policy of the Institute as necessary from time to time.
  • Liaison with the Insurance Company and payment of premium.
  • Assistance to employees in settlement of insurance claims with Insurance Co./TPA, medical reimbursement and other related issues.
  • Liaison with employees, IIT Hospital and other concerned bodies and attending to complaints in connection with Health Services.
  • Prevention of misuse of medical facilities in consultation with Head, Hospital Services.
  • Any other matter related to Health Services.
