Security Unit

The Security Unit is responsible for providing effective security cover for men and material of the Institute and for ensuring that security measures at the Institute are strictly adhered to.

IIT Delhi Security Unit provides useful information on safety, crime awareness, and preventive measures to reduce residents chance of becoming a crime victim.

IIT Delhi Security, under the direction of Capt BN Yadav, Security Officer (SS), has 03 Security Officers, 01 Deputy Security Officer, 03 Assistant Security Officers, 02 Senior Security Inspectors, 03 Security Inspectors and 20 Security Guards as permanent staff of IIT Delhi and 10 Security Supervisors and 200 Security Guards on Contractual basis hired from G4S.
