Decadal changes in Aerosol Pollution over India

Understand the decadal changes in aerosol pollution over India and its climatic and health implications. Although emissions due to anthropogenic activities have increased throughout the country, aerosol pollution has increased over certain hotspots due to combined influences of meteorology and topography. Pollution level is very high even in the rural areas and is not confined to 'urban areas'. This rapid increase at the hot spots have severe implications for regional climate and human health. These issues are also being examined.
