IRD Student Startup Action

Second call of IRD Student Startup Action is now open. The main objective is to support student start up activity in the campus. Students are engaged in start‐up actions at different stages and different forms. The scheme would provide a support environment in terms of recognition, initial seed grant and expert advice.

A group of students preferably in the final year of the B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech. or Dual degree programme can formulate a proposal. In the first call 8 proposals were selected for funding. In the second call, about 15 proposals will be selected. The selected teams will be given a seed grant of Rs. 2 Lacs per year. IP and other output generated by the start‐up will be owned by the start‐up team with 5% equity for the institute. The start‐up activity will be facilitated by a faculty member. There is a further scope for incubation of the Start-up in Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Program of FITT-IITD.

The closing date for proposal submission is extended till Oct 12 (Thu), 2017 due to scheduled Minor II exam. Proposal format and the details are provided in the IRD website.
