Participating Institutions
Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Programme(TRIPP),
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.
The faculty members associated with
TRIPP have been involved in safety research for the past two decades. The
Institute has been designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and
Training in Safety Technology. The members of TRIPP have expertise in
epidemiological studies, designs of vehicles and safety equipment, traffic flow
modelling, transportation planning and care of injured persons.
Institut National De Recherche Sur Les Transports et Leur Securite (INRETS) is the French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research, under the authority of both the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Research, INRETS has a staff of 400 persons and over 25 years experience in road safety research and injury prevention. INRETS was designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Accident Prevention in 1990.
The International Research
Council on the Biomechanics of Impacts (IRCOBI)
devotes itself to encourage research
on impact biomechanics and injury mechanisms, provide a forum for the
presentation and dissemination of these research findings, and serves as an
advisory body on issues relating to impact biomechanics and injury mechanisms.
